| Rarities today comprised the Turkestan Shrike and Black-browed Albatross both still together in East Yorkshire,
Pied-billed Grebe still in Argyll, White-rumped Sandpiper and five
Bee-eaters in Norfolk, American Black Tern still in Northumberland,
Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, a Black Kite briefly in Cambridgeshire, and the family of six Black-winged Sitlts in South Yorkshire. Scarcities included Red-backed Shrike (South Yorkshire), Night Heron (Kent), Sabine's Gull (Lancashire), Rose-coloured Starling (East Yorkshire), Ring-billed Gull (County Clare), two Temminck's Stints, three Glaucous Gulls, and a total of seven Glossy Ibises. |
