  Rarities today comprised the Least Tern still in County Dublin, American Black Tern in Northumberland, territorial Great Reed Warblers in both Norfolk and Nottinghamshire, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, King Eider in Lothian, and Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire, whilst brief encounters included Bee-eaters in both Norfolk (2) and Suffolk (3).

Scarcities included Red-backed Shrike (Buckinghamshire), Red-necked Phalarope (Kent), Common Rosefinch and Green-winged Teal (Shetland Isles), two Purple Herons, three American Wigeons, four Rose-coloured Starlings, and a total of 10 Glossy Ibises.
