| Discoveries today included Pallid Harrier and King Eider both in Aberdeenshire at the Ythan Estuary, an Eastern Subalpine Warbler
in Devon on Lundy, a Dusky Warbler on the Isle of Man on Calf of Man, and a
White-billed Diver flew past County Durham and Northumberland. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Black-browed Albatross again in East Yorkshire, Ross's Gull still in County Galway, Pacific Golden Plover in Suffolk, Blue-winged Teal in Cambridgeshire, Hornemann's Arctic Redpoll on the Shetland Isles, Black Kite in Kent, Red-breasted Goose in Norfolk, King Eiders in both Highland and Lothian, Black-winged Stilt in Merseyside, and White-billed Diver in Moray. Scarcities included Short-toed Lark (Shetland), Golden Oriole (Isles of Scilly), Purple Heron (Cheshire), Richard's Pipit (Wirral), American Wigeon (Northumberland), Black Brant (East Yorkshire), two Green-winged Teals, three each of Wryneck, Surf Scoter, and Lapland Bunting, four of Hoopoe, seven of Dotterel and Ring-necked Duck, and a total of 18 Glossy Ibises. |
