  New discoveries today included an Iberian Chiffchaff at Hoylake, Wirral, an Alpine Swift at Waterford, County Waterford, a Black-winged Stilt at Llanelli, Carmarthenshire and a White-billed Diver off Portknockie, Moray.

Lingering rarities still present included the Belted Kingfisher in Lancashire, Black-browed Albatross in Yorkshire, Snowy Owl in Western Isles, Dusky Warbler and Red-breasted Goose in Norfolk, Pacific Golden Plover and Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, King Eiders in Lothian and Shetland, Lesser Scaups in Essex and Clyde (two), White-billed Divers in Aberdeenshire and Shetland and Bonaparte's Gull in Sussex.
