Lingering rarities seen today included the Belted Kingfisher in Lancashire, Northern Harrier in County Offaly, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Galway, Baikal Teal in Somerset, Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire, Lesser Scaup in Western Isles, Ross's Goose in Clyde, single Red-breasted Geese in Norfolk and Essex, Cackling Goose in County Clare, Pacific Diver in Glamorgan, Red-flanked Bluetail in County Durham and three Penduline Tits in Somerset.
Scarcity highlights included a Short-toed Lark, a Great Grey Shrike, three Yellow-browed Warblers, seven Shorelarks, a Surf Scoter, two American Wigeon, 21 Ring-necked Ducks, three Snow Geese, 15 Tundra Bean Geese, 36 Glossy Ibises, four Little Auks, three Ring-billed Gulls, five Glaucous Gulls and 12 Iceland Gulls. |
