  Rarities today comprised the White-winged Scoter still in Lothian, Baikal Teals in both East Yorkshire and Somerset, Pacific Diver in Glamorgan, Hume's Warbler in East Sussex and Kent, Red-breasted Goose in Essex and Lincolnshire, three Penduline Tits together in Somerset, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, and Dusky Warbler in Kent.

Scarcities included Serin (Hertfordshire), Pallas's Warbler (Oxfordshire), Kumlien's Gull (County Kerry), two each of American Wigeon, Surf Scoter, Yellow-browed Warbler, and Black Brant, three of Great Grey Shrike, Waxwing, and Snow Goose, four Ring-billed Gulls, five Green-winged Teals, seven Shorelarks, 11 Glossy Ibises, 15 Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 30 Lapland Buntings.

Unfortunately the Gyr reported yesterday at Marton-in-the-Forest, North Yorkshire was an escaped bird.

  A white morph Gyr was reported at Marton-in-the Forest, North Yorkshire.

Elsewhere, lingering rarities confirmed as still present comprised Baikal Teals in both East Yorkshire and Somerset, American Buff-bellied Pipit in Devon, Pacific Diver in County Cork and Glamorgan, Hume's Warbler in East Sussex and Kent, Red-flanked Bluetail in County Durham, Red-breasted Goose in Argyll and Essex, Kentish Plover and three Penduline Tits in Somerset, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, Lesser Scaup in Ayrshire, and Richardson's Cackling Goose in both Argyll and Lancashire.

Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Oxfordshire), Serin (Devon), Little Bunting (London), Hoopoe (Warwickshire), Richard's Pipit (North Yorkshire), Rose-coloured Starling (Cornwall), American Wigeon (Nottinghamshire), Shorelark (East Sussex), Little Auk (Highland), two each of both Waxwing and Black Brant, three of Ring-billed Gull, Surf Scoter, Great Grey Shrike, Yellow-browed Warbler, and Snow Geese, four Green-winged Teals, seven Lapland Buntings, nine Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 18 Glossy Ibises.

  Rarities today comprised the White-tailed Lapwing still in Lincolnshire, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, American Coots in both County Kerry and County Wexford, Semipalmated Plover and Pacific Diver together in County Cork, Baikal Teal in East Yorkshire, Pacific Diver in Glamorgan, American Buff-bellied Pipit in Devon, Black Scoter in Northumberland, Hume's Warbler in both Kent and East Sussex, Red-breasted Goose in Essex, Red-flanked Bluetail in County Durham, Kentish Plover and three Penduline Tits in Somerset, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, Lesser Scaup in Ayrshire, Ferruginous Duck in Surrey, Dusky Warbler in Kent and North Yorkshire, and Richardson's Cackling Geese in both Merseyside and County Sligo (2).

Scarcities included Short-toed Lark (Norfolk), Pallas's Warbler (Oxfordshire), Little Bunting (London), two each of Richard's Pipit, Waxwing, and Kumlien's Gull, three of American Wigeon, Green-winged Teal, and Yellow-browed Warbler, five Great Grey Shrikes, six Ring-billed Gulls, seven Black Brants, 16 Shorelarks, 18 Ring-necked Ducks, 39 Glossy Ibises, and a total of 72 Lapland Buntings.

  A Lesser Scaup was found at Lough Gara, County Sligo, and a King Eider was off Nairn, Highland.

Lingering rarities still present included single American Coots in County Wexford and County Kerry, American Buff-bellied Pipit in Devon, Red-flanked Bluetail in County Durham, single Hume's Warblers in Kent and Sussex, Dusky Warbler in Kent, three Penduline Tits in Somerset, Northern Harrier in County Offaly, Forster's Tern in County Clare, Pacific Diver in Glamorgan, White-billed Diver in Orkney, single Baikal Teals in Somerset and Yorkshire, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Lesser Scaups in Ayrshire and Western Isles (two), Red-breasted Goose in Essex, single Richardson's Cackling Geese in Lancashire and County Sligo, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, single Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, County Wexford and County Galway and Kentish Plover in Somerset.

  A second Lesser Scaup joined the long staying bird on Lough Ennell, County Westmeath.

Lingering rarities seen today included an American Coot in County Kerry (a second bird in the county, present for over a week), single Baikal Teals in Somerset and Yorkshire, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, Semipalmated Plover in County Cork, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, single Pacific Divers in Glamorgan and County Cork, American Buff-bellied Pipit in Devon, Red-flanked Bluetail in County Durham, single Hume's Warblers in Kent and Sussex, Dusky Warbler in Kent, three Penduline Tits in Somerset, Northern Harrier in County Offaly, White-winged Scoter in Lothian and single Lesser Scaups in Ayrshire and Western Isles.

Scarcity highlights included a Richard's Pipit, a Little Bunting, a Waxwing, a Hoopoe, a Rose-coloured Starling, a Great Grey Shrike, two Yellow-browed Warblers, 15 Shorelarks, 40 Lapland Buntings, two American Wigeon, two Green-winged Teals, seven Surf Scoters, ten Ring-necked Ducks, a Todd's Canada Goose, a Black Brant, 13 Tundra Bean Geese, 35 Glossy Ibises, a Kumlien's Gull, four Ring-billed Gulls, five Glaucous Gulls and eight Iceland Gulls.

  New discoveries today included a Black Duck at Strontian, Highland, a Cackling Goose at Doonbeg, County Clare and a White-billed Diver off Papa Westray, Orkney.

Lingering rarities still present included single American Coots in County Wexford and County Kerry, single Baikal Teals in Somerset and Yorkshire, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Pacific Divers in Glamorgan and County Cork, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire, Semipalmated Plover also in County Cork, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, American Buff-bellied Pipit in Devon, Red-flanked Bluetail in County Durham, Hume's Warbler in Sussex, Bonaparte's Gull in Somerset and two Cackling Geese in Western Isles.

Scarcity highlights included a Richard's Pipit, a Hoopoe, a Pallas's Warbler, two Yellow-browed Warblers, three Great Grey Shrikes, 11 Shorelarks, two American Wigeon, three Surf Scoters, 20 Ring-necked Ducks, a Snow Goose, two Black Brants, 15 Tundra Bean Geese, 44 Glossy Ibises, a Little Auk, a Pomarine Skua, a Kumlien's Gull, five Ring-billed Gulls, seven Iceland Gulls and 14 Glaucous Gulls.

  Rarities included White-tailed Lapwing still in Lincolnshire, both Semipalmated Plover and Pacific Diver together in County Cork, American Coot in County Kerry, Baikal Teal and three Penduline Tits in Somerset, Pacific Diver in Glamorgan, Red-flanked Bluetail in County Durham, Hume's Warbler in East Sussex, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, Dusky Warblers in both Cornwall and Kent, White-billed Diver on the Shetland Isles, and Lesser Scaups in Ayrshire, Isles of Scilly, and the Western Isles.

Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Oxfordshire), Hoopoe (Warwickshire), Kumlien's Gull (Cambridgeshire), Richard's Pipit and Great Grey Shrike (North Yorkshire), two each of American Wigeon, Green-winged Teal, Yellow-browed Warbler, and Shorelark, three of Surf Scoter and Black Brant, four Ring-billed Gulls, 14 Ring-necked Ducks, 15 Lapland Buntings, and a total of 40 Glossy Ibises.

  Rarities today comprised White-tailed Lapwing and Red-breasted Goose both still in Lincolnshire, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, American Coot in County Kerry, Baikal Teal, Kenitsh Plover, and three Penduline Tits in Somerset, American Buff-bellied Pipit in Devon, Hume's Warbler and Dusky Warbler in Kent, Red-flanked Bluetail in County Durham, Lesser Scaup in County Westmeath, and Lesser Yellowlegs in both County Galway and Suffolk.

Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Oxfordshire), Little Bunting (London), Rose-coloured Starling (Cornwall), Hoopoe (Warwickshire), Great Grey Shrike (Highland), Black Brant (Norfolk), two each of Richard's Pipit, Yellow-browed Warbler, and American Wigeon, three of Snow Goose and Green-winged Teal, four Ring-billed Gulls, five Surf Scoters, 12 Ring-necked Ducks, 16 Shorelarks, 31 Lapland Buntings, and a total of 49 Glossy Ibises.
