Rarities today comprised the Baikal Teal relocated in East Yorkshire at Tophill Low, the
White-winged Scoter still in Lothian, Pacific Diver in Glamorgan,
American Buff-bellied Pipit in Devon, Hume's Warbler in Kent, Red-flanked Bluetail
in County Durham, three Penduline Tits together in Somerset, Red-breasted
Geese in Essex and Linolnshire, and single Lesser Scaups in Argyll, Dorset, and County Leitrim. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Oxfordshire), Little Bunting (London), Richard's Pipit (North Yorkshire), Rose-coloured Starling (Cornwall), Kumlien's Gull (County Kerry), two each of Yellow-browed Warbler, Grey Phalarope, and Black Brant, three of Ring-billed Gull and Surf Scoter, four Green-winged Teals, five Great Grey Shrikes, six Lapland Buntings, eight Waxwings, 13 Shorelarks, 15 Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 56 Glossy Ibises. |
