  Rarities today comprised the Baikal Teal still in Somerset, Pacific Diver in Glamorgan, American Buff-bellied Pipit in Devon, Black Scoter in Northumberland, Red-breasted Goose in Lincolnshire, Red-flanked Bluetail in County Durham, both Hume's Warbler and Dusky Warbler in Kent, Ferruginous Duck in Surrey, and Lesser Scaups in both Devon and Dorset.

Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Oxfordshire), American Golden Plover (County Wexford), American Wigeon (Dumfries and Galloway), Rose-coloured Starling (Cornwall), Yellow-browed Warbler (Cambridgeshire), two each of Ring-billed Gull, Great Grey Shrike, Grey Phalarope, Little Bunting, and Surf Scoter, three Green-winged Teals, six Waxwings, eight Shorelarks, 12 Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 49 Glossy Ibises.
