  New discoveries today included an Isabelline Wheatear at Minsmere RSPB, Suffolk, a Subalpine Warbler species on St Mary's, Isles of Scilly, three Lesser Scaups at Cargreen, Cornwall and a Long-billed Dowitcher at Loch Gruinart RSPB, Argyll.

Late news from yesterday concerned an Eyebrowed Thrush in a garden at Kincraig, Highland and a Semipalmated Plover at Black Rock, County Kerry.

Lingering rarities still present included the Varied Thrush in Orkney, White-tailed Lapwing in Yorkshire, Semipalmated Plover in County Cork, Brown Shrike in Cornwall, Arctic Warbler in Cleveland, Olive-backed Pipit and Spotted Sandpiper in Scilly, Long-billed Dowitcher in County Derry, White-billed Diver in Norfolk, Lesser Scaup in Somerset and Ferruginous Duck in Staffordshire.

Scarcity highlights included a Short-toed Lark, a Red-breasted Flycatcher, a Richard's Pipit, a Wryneck, a Great Grey Shrike, two Rose-coloured Starlings, three Hoopoes, five Shorelarks, six Lapland Buntings, nine Yellow-browed Warblers, a Black Brant, a Green-winged Teal, three American Wigeon, four Surf Scoters, ten Ring-necked Ducks, 12 Glossy Ibises, a Pectoral Sandpiper, two Grey Phalaropes, two Little Auks, a Leach's Petrel, a Sabine's Gull, a Ring-billed Gull, two Glaucous Gulls, two Long-tailed Skuas, nine Pomarine Skuas and five Balearic Shearwaters.
