  Seabirds again provided the highlights with Fea's/Desertas Petrels passing County Durham, Northumberland, Aberdeenshire, and the Orkney Isles, three Wilson's Petrels at sea off the Isles of Scilly, at least 300 Balearic Shearwaters together in Devon at Thurlestone, and totals of six Sabine's Gulls and 39 Long-tailed Skuas.

Otherwise, rarities today comprised the White-tailed Lapwing still in East Yorkshire, Forster's Tern still in County Louth, Long-billed Dowitcher in Norfolk, Citrine Wagtail on the Shetland Isles, Bonaparte's Gull in County Down, a Greenish Warbler new in Suffolk at Thorpeness, and in Angus the Black Scoter returned to Kinnaber.

Scarcities included Melodious Warbler (Shetland), Red-breasted Flycatcher (Norfolk), Rose-coloured Starling (Dorset), Bluethroat and Golden Oriole (Scilly), Surf Scoter (Angus), two each of both Glossy Ibis and Dotterel, five Common Rosefinches, six Barred Warblers, and a total of 24 Wrynecks.
