  Lingering rarities confirmed as still present today were the Northern Mockingbird in Devon at Exmouth, American Herring Gull in Cornwall at Newlyn, Laughing Gull in Dorset again at Abbotsbury, Rustic Bunting in Surrey at Thursley Common, and Spotted Sandpiper in Ayrshire at Croy.

Scarcities included Ring-billed Gull (County Kerry), American Wigeon (Cleveland), Great Grey Shrike (Suffolk), Yellow-browed Warbler (Buckinghamshire), two each of both Little Bunting and Glossy Ibis, five Green-winged Teals, nine Lapland Buntings, and a total of 23 Ring-necked Ducks.

Incoming spring migrants included Hobby (Suffolk), Cuckoo (Dorset), Sedge Warbler (Somerset), House Martin (Wiltshire), three Common Terns, five Ring Ouzels, six Ospreys, seven Swallows, 11 each of Garganey and Willow Warblers, 22 White Wagtails, and 63 Wheatears.
