  New discoveries today included a Snowy Owl on Fetlar, Shetland and a Ferruginous Duck at Pymoor, Cambridgeshire.

Lingering rarities seen today included the Double-crested Cormorant in County Kerry, Hooded Merganser and Eastern Yellow Wagtail in Suffolk, Rustic Bunting in Surrey and Dusky Warbler in Kent.

Scarcity highlights included two Little Buntings, two Rose-coloured Starlings, two Great Grey Shrikes, two Waxwings, three Yellow-browed Warblers, three Shorelarks, 56 Lapland Buntings, an American Golden Plover, a Rough-legged Buzzard, three Glossy Ibises, a Surf Scoter, an American Wigeon, a Green-winged Teal, four Ring-necked Ducks, four Black Brants, six Taiga Bean Geese, ten Tundra Bean Geese, three Ring-billed Gulls, 17 Iceland Gulls and 24 Glaucous Gulls.
