With no new rarities to report today, it was another roll call of long-stayers, namely the Sociable Lapwing in Cornwall, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Bufflehead in Co.Down, Pacific Golden Plover in Moray, Eastern Yellow Wagtail and Hooded Merganser in Suffolk, Rustic Bunting in Surrey and Dusky Warbler in Devon.

Storm Bella had little effect other than forcing a Leach's Petrel into Langstone Harbour (Hampshire), depositing three new Grey Phalaropes around the coast and perhaps playing a part in pushing three Little Auks past Little Ormes Head (Conwy). Other national news included two Ring-billed Gulls, three Little Buntings, Rose-coloured Starling (Anglesey), Great Grey Shrike (Surrey), three Waxwings (Highland), five Yellow-browed Warblers, 13 Ring-necked Ducks, six Glossy Ibises, 18 Iceland Gulls, 10 Glaucous Gulls, two Pomarine Skuas, four Taiga Bean Geese (Norfolk), 50 Tundra Bean Geese and three Black Brant.
