  Lingering rarities still present today included the Double-crested Cormorant in County Kerry, Belted Kingfisher in County Cork, Bufflehead in County Down, White-winged Scoter in Lothian, Black Scoter in Northumberland, Black Duck and Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Mayo, Ferruginous Duck in Hampshire, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Long-billed Dowitcher in Cumbria, Lesser Yellowlegs in Yorkshire and County Waterford, Eastern Yellow Wagtail in Suffolk, Rustic Bunting in Surrey and single Dusky Warblers in Cheshire and Merseyside.

Scarcity highlights included two Little Buntings, five Lapland Buntings, six Yellow-browed Warblers, 21 Waxwings, seven Glossy Ibises, a Grey Phalarope, two Little Auks, a Surf Scoter, an American Wigeon, two Green-winged Teal, 14 Ring-necked Ducks, two Todd's Canada Geese, two Black Brants, 55 Tundra Bean Geese, a Ring-billed Gull, ten Glaucous Gulls and 28 Iceland Gulls.
