Lingering rarities still present today included the Belted Kingfisher in County Cork, Hudsonian Godwit in Fife, Bufflehead in County Down, Pied-billed Grebe in Shropshire, Pacific Golden Plover in Moray, Long-billed Dowitcher in Cumbria, Lesser Yellowlegs in Yorkshire, Eastern Yellow Wagtails in Somerset and Suffolk, Rustic Bunting in Surrey, Dusky Warblers in Merseyside, Kent and Scilly and Ferruginous Duck in Leicesterhire.
Scarcity highlights included a Little Bunting, two Rose-coloured Starlings, two Great Grey Shrikes, three Richard's Pipits, five Yellow-browed Warblers, 11 Waxwings, 19 Lapland Buntings, a Little Auk, a Pomarine Skua, nine Glossy Ibises, a Rough-legged Buzzard, an American Wigeon, a Green-winged Teal, two Surf Scoters, nine Ring-necked Ducks, two Todd's Canada Geese, three Black Brants, 81 Tundra Bean Geese, two Ring-billed Gulls, ten Glaucous Gulls and 18 Iceland Gulls. |

Lingering rarities present today included the Rustic Bunting in Surrey, single Dusky Warblers in Kent, Devon, Cornwall and Scilly, Ferruginous Duck in Leicestershire and Lesser Yellowlegs in Yorkshire.
Scarcity highlights included a Little Bunting, a Great Grey Shrike, a Rose-coloured Starling, two Waxwings, three Yellow-browed Warblers, a Rough-legged Buzzard, six Glossy Ibises, three Pomarine Skuas, an American Wigeon, five Ring-necked Ducks, a Black Brant, 37 Tundra Bean Geese, a Ring-billed Gull, a Kumlien's Gull, seven Glaucous Gulls and 12 Iceland Gulls. |

Ferruginous Ducks in Hampshire and Leicestershire, two King Eiders together in County Donegal, seven

Scarcities included Ring-billed Gull (Cornwall), American Wigeon (County Antrim), Black Brant (Norfolk), Waxwing (North Yorkshire), two each of Richard's Pipit, Rose-coloured Starling, and Great Grey Shrike, three of Little Bunting, Surf Scoter, and Green-winged Teal, five Yellow-browed Warblers, six Lapland Buntings, nine Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 11 Glossy Ibises. |

Rarities today comprised the Double-crested Cormorant still in County Kerry, Belted Kingfisher still in County Cork,
Pied-billed Grebe in Shropshire, Rustic Bunting in Surrey, Eastern Yellow Wagtails in both Somerset and Suffolk,
Long-billed Dowitcher in North Yorkshire, Ferruginous Duck back in Hampshire,
Lesser Yellowlegs in North Yorkshire and the Western Isles, and Dusky Warblers in Cambridgeshire, Cornwall and Kent (2). Scarcities included Rose-coloured Starling (Dorset), Richard's Pipit (West Sussex), two each of Ring-billed Gull, Surf Scoter, Green-winged Teal, Black Brant, and Waxwing, three of Little Bunting and Great Grey Shrike, four Yellow-browed Warblers, five Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of six Glossy Ibises. |

Franklin's Gull in North Yorkshire, Rustic Bunting in Surrey, three
Penduline Tits together in Somerset, Eastern Yellow Wagtails in both Somerset and Suffolk, and
Dusky Warblers in Cambridgeshire, Devon and Kent (2). Scarcities included Little Bunting (Surrey), Rose-coloured Starling (Anglesey), Ring-billed Gull (Cornwall), American Wigeon (Highland), two each of both Richard's Pipit and Great Grey Shrike, three of Ring-necked Duck, Yellow-browed Warbler, and Black Brant, five of Glossy Ibis and Lapland Bunting, and a total of 21 Waxwings. |

Two Dusky Warblers were discovered in Kent today, one at Dungeness RSPB and one on the Isle of Thanet at Minster.
Lingering rarities present today included the Hudsonian Godwit in Fife, Lesser Yellowlegs in Devon, Bufflehead in County Down, Pied-billed Grebe in Shropshire, Snowy Owl in Western Isles, Eastern Yellow Wagtail and four Penduline Tits in Somerset, Rustic Bunting in Somerset and another Dusky Warbler in Merseyside. Scarcity highlights included a Richard's Pipit, a Rose-coloured Starling, a Great Grey Shrike, two Little Buntings, six Yellow-browed Warblers, nine Lapland Buntings, six Glossy Ibises, a Green-winged Teal, two Surf Scoters, seven Ring-necked Ducks, a Todd's Canada Goose, a Black Brant, 27 Tundra Bean Geese, a Little Auk, a Pomarine Skua, a Ring-billed Gull, 11 Glaucous Gulls and 26 Iceland Gulls. |

The highlight of the day was a Pallid Harrier on the Shetland Isles at Kergord, Mainland, whilst
in Northumberland a White-billed Diver flew past Boulmer. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Hudsonian Godwit in Fife, Bufflehead in County Down, Pied-billed Grebe in Shropshire, Pacific Diver in Cornwall, Black Scoter in Northumberland, Rustic Bunting in Surrey, King Eider in Pembrokeshire, three Penduline Tits together in Somerset, Dusky Warbler in both Merseyside and Isles of Scilly, and Eastern Yellow Wagtails in Somerset and Suffolk. Scarcities included Richard's Pipit (West Sussex), Green-winged Teal (Dorset), Black Brant (East Yorkshire), Kumlien's Gull (Cornwall), two each of both Rose-coloured Starling and Grey Phalarope, three of Little Bunting, Ring-billed Gull, and Great Grey Shrike, five Yellow-browed Warblers, 10 of Ring-necked Duck and Waxwing, 11 Glossy Ibises, and a total of 14 Lapland Buntings. Late news from yesterday concerned the Sociable Lapwing still present in Cornwall. |

Black Scoter in Northumberland, King Eider in Pembrokeshire, Rustic Bunting in Surrey,
Dusky Warblers in both Cornwall and Merseyside, two Richardson's Cackling Geese
together on the Western Isles, and in Somerset three Penduline Tits,
Eastern Yellow Wagtail, and Kentish Plover. Scarcities included Richard's Pipit (West Sussex), Rose-coloured Starling (Anglesey), Ring-billed Gull (Cornwall), Hoopoe (Gwent), two each of Great Grey Shrike, Surf Scoter, Green-winged Teal, and Black Brant, three of both Little Bunting and Yellow-browed Warbler, six of Ring-necked Duck and Glossy Ibis, 10 Waxwings, and a total of 31 Lapland Buntings. |
