Rarities elsewhere comprised both the Snowy Owl and Subalpine Warbler species still on the Western Isles, a Citrine Wagtail briefly in Norfolk at Cley and a Black-winged Stilt new in Berkshire at Moor Green Lakes.

Scarcities included Bluethroat (Hampshire), Icterine Warbler (Shetland Isles), Red-necked Phalarope (West Sussex), Spotted Crake (East Yorkshire), Dotterel and Shorelark (Western Isles), Ring-billed Gull (County Kerry), Long-tailed Skua (County Down), two each of Barred Warbler, Common Rosefinch and Sabine's Gull, three Wrynecks, four Red-backed Shrikes and 27 Lapland Buntings.
