The highlight of the day was the discovery of two White-rumped Sandpipers together in Aberdeenshire at Loch of Strathbeg. A Black Kite flew over Brading Marshes on the Isle of Wight. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Long-billed Dowitcher again in County Antrim at Belfast Lough, both Lesser Yellowlegs and Bonaparte's Gull still together in Kent, Ferruginous Duck still in East Sussex, a Black Kite reported in Nottinghamshire and a total of seven Two-barred Crossbills on the Shetland Isles.

Scarcities included Ring-billed Gull (Cornwall), two Pectoral Sandpipers (Co.Donegal and East Sussex), Shorelark (Orkney Isles), two Surf Scoters (together in Lothian), Serin (Kent) and three Glossy Ibises (North Yorkshire, East Yorkshire and Gwent).
