Fair Isle hosted the first Arctic Warbler of the year. All but one of the day's 14 Two-barred Crossbills on Shetland were new finds; another was on North Ronaldsay in Orkney. In East Sussex, a Black Stork flew over Westfield and there was a Ferruginous Duck at Pett Level.

Still present were the Bonaparte's Gull and Lesser Yellowlegs in Kent, as well as the two Black-winged Stilts in Norfolk.

Scarcities today included Red-backed Shrike (Norfolk), two Rose-coloured Starlings (Shetland and Argyll), Serin (Kent), Surf Scoter (Lothian), Green-winged Teal (Norfolk), Long-tailed Skua (Orkney), White Stork (Glos), two Glossy Ibis (Gwent and Merseyside), Cory's Shearwater (Co.Donegal) and 10 Balearic Shearwaters (Dorset).
