| The highlight of the day was a Black-winged Pratincole in Lincolnshire at Frampton
Marsh. This arrival, following a Collared Pratincole at this site on 8th-9th August 2009 and an Oriental
Pratincole there on 9th-19th May 2010, makes Frampton Marsh only the fourth
location in Britain to record all three species of pratincole, following Titchwell (Norfolk), Elmley (Kent) and Pagham Harbour (West Sussex). Rarities elsewhere comprised the River Warbler still on the Shetland Isles, a Bee-eater flew over the Baikal Teal in Northumberland, the Black Duck remained in Highland as did the Long-billed Dowitcher in County Antrim, two Blue-winged Teals in Clyde, Lesser Scaup in Borders, territorial Great Reed Warblers in both County Durham and West Yorkshire, two Savi's Warblers and an Iberian Chiffchaff in Suffolk, Savi's Warbler on Anglesey, and Iberian Chiffchaff and Ferruginous Duck together in West Yorkshire. Scarcities included Icterine Warbler (Hampshire), Rose-coloured Starling (Lothian), Serin and Temminck's Stint (Lincolnshire), Common Rosefinch (Shetland Isles), Golden Oriole (Cornwall), Purple Heron (Norfolk), Red-necked Phalarope (Northumberland), Glossy Ibis (Dorset), two Surf Scoters and three Red-backed Shrikes. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Pacific Golden Plover on Papa Westray, Orkney Isles. Elsewhere, a
Bee-eater was heard calling in Cornwall at Penryn, a White-billed Diver
flew past North Uist, Western Isles, and at sea off the Isles of Scilly three
Wilson's Petrels were recorded. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Eastern Olivaceous Warbler on the Shetland Isles, Lesser Grey Shrike in Norfolk, Great Reed Warbler in both County Durham and West Yorkshire, a Blue-winged Teal in Clyde, Long-billed Dowitcher in County Antrim, Red-footed Falcon in County Wexford, Savi's Warbler on Anglesey, Ferruginous Duck in West Yorkshire, and territorial Iberian Chiffchaffs in Lancashire, Suffolk and West Yorkshire. Scarcities included Common Rosefinch (Shetland Isles), Red-necked Phalarope (Northumberland), American Wigeon (County Wexford), Purple Heron (Somerset), Spotted Crake (Norfolk), two Ring-necked Ducks, three each of both Red-backed Shrike and Surf Scoter, and a total of five Glossy Ibises. Three Rose-coloured Starlings today brought the total located in Britain and Ireland since 24th May to 25 birds. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of both an Eastern Olivaceous Warbler
and a River Warbler on Fair Isle, Shetland Isles. Elsewhere a Long-billed Dowitcher was new in County Antrim at Belfast Lough, a
Black-winged Stilt was in Norfolk at Burnham Overy and in County Cork a Red-rumped
Swallow was found at Knockadoon and a Wilson's Petrel flew past Toe Head. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Lesser Grey Shrike in Norfolk, two Blue-winged Teals in Clyde, Great Reed Warblers in both County Durham and West Yorkshire, both Savi's Warbler and Iberian Chiffchaff in Suffolk, Savi's Warbler on Anglesey, King Eider in Aberdeenshire, Iberian Chiffchaff and Ferruginous Duck in West Yorkshire, and Iberian Chiffchaff in Lancashire. Scarcities included Serin (Kent), Purple Heron (Norfolk), American Wigeon (County Wexford) and three each of both Glossy Ibis and migrant Red-necked Phalarope. |

| A singing Blyth's Reed Warbler was discovered near Cemlyn, Anglesey, a second Blue-winged Teal was in Clyde at Frankfield Loch, with the first bird still at Loudon Pond, and at least two Bee-eaters have been at Cranbrook, Devon for a few days.
Lingering rarities included the Lesser Grey Shrike in Norfolk, Great Reed Warblers in Yorkshire and County Durham, Savi's Warblers in Anglesey and Suffolk, Iberian Chiffchaffs in Lancashire, Yorkshire and Suffolk, King Eider in Aberdeenshire and Ferruginous Duck in Yorkshire. Scarcity highlights included a Serin, a Rose-coloured Starling, a Common Rosefinch, two Red-backed Shrikes, two Marsh Warblers, a Red-necked Phalarope, a Purple Heron, a Glossy Ibis, three Honey Buzzards and four Ring-necked Ducks. |

Anglesey enjoyed its second record of Savi's Warbler, with a singing bird at Malltraeth Marsh RSPB. A Black Stork in Udale Bay in Highland for a few minutes in the afternoon was presumably the same bird seen recently in Moray and Aberdeenshire. In South Yorkshire, a Red-rumped Swallow was reported near Mexborough at North Ings. Still on the scene were the Lesser Grey Shrike in Norfolk, Bee-eater in Highland, Iberian Chiffchaff and Savi's Warbler in Suffolk, Great Reed Warblers in West Yorkshire and Co.Durham, Blue-winged Teal in Clyde, Black Duck in Highland, Ferruginous Duck in West Yorkshire and King Eider in Aberdeenshire. Today's scarcities included two Red-necked Phalaropes (Sussex and Northumberland), Icterine Warbler (Shetland), Serin (Kent), Common Rosefinch (Co.Galway), Golden Oriole (Scilly), Red-backed Shrike (Norfolk), Purple Heron (East Yorkshire), three Ring-necked Ducks, seven Balearic Shearwaters, four Pomarine Skuas, Iceland Gull (Western Isles) and two Glossy Ibises. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Terek Sandpiper in Aberdeenshire on Ythan Estuary whilst the tenth
Great Reed Warbler of the year was located in County Durham at Low Barns. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present today were the Lesser Grey Shrike in Norfolk, Pied-billed Grebe in Argyll, Black Duck in Highland, Blue-winged Teal in Clyde, King Eider in Aberdeenshire, Iberian Chiffchaff in Lancashire, two Great Reed Warblers and Ferruginous Duck in West Yorkshire, and two Savi's Warblers and Iberian Chiffchaff in Suffolk. Scarcities included Purple Heron, Marsh Warbler and Red-backed Shrike (all in East Yorkshire), Golden Oriole (Isles of Scilly), Common Rosefinch (Argyll), American Wigeon (Northumberland), two each of Serin, Ring-necked Duck and Glossy Ibis, and three migrant Red-necked Phalaropes. |

| The highlight of the day was an Eastern White-crowned Sparrow present briefly in Argyll on Islay whilst in Clyde a
Blue-winged Teal was new at Douglas Water. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Lesser Grey Shrike in Norfolk, Black Duck in Highland, two Great Reed Warblers in West Yorkshire, and in Suffolk two territorial Savi's Warblers and an Iberian Chiffchaff. Scarcities included Golden Oriole (East Yorkshire), Rose-coloured Starling and Glossy Ibis (Dorset), Serin (Kent), Icterine Warbler (Shetland Isles), Red-necked Phalarope (Northumberland), three each of both Marsh Warbler and Ring-necked Duck, and four Red-backed Shrikes. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Squacco Heron in West Sussex at Pagham Harbour whilst
Alpine Swifts were new arrivals in Devon at Dawlish and Dorset at Durlston Country Park. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Lesser Grey Shrike in Norfolk, Eastern Subalpine Warbler on the Shetland Isles, Baikal Teal in Northumberland, Black Duck in Highland, two Great Reed Warblers and a Ferruginous Duck in West Yorkshire, and Iberian Chiffchaff and two Savi's Warblers in Suffolk. Scarcities included Serin (Kent), Red-backed Shrike (East Yorkshire), American Wigeon (Northumberland), Glossy Ibis (Dorset), Red-necked Phalarope (Highland and Northumberland), two each of both Rose-coloured Starling and Icterine Warbler, three Marsh Warblers and four Ring-necked Ducks. Significant late news concerned a Snowy Owl again on St Kilda, Western Isles, and on the Shetland Isles a Scops Owl found dead on Bressay. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Laughing Gull in Pembrokeshire on Skokholm whilst in Cornwall another
Greenish Warbler was on The Lizard and in West Yorkshire a Great Reed Warbler
was located at Pugneys Country Park, less then four miles from the Great Reed Warbler that remains today at Wintersett Reservoir. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Baikal Teal still in Northumberland, Lesser Grey Shrike in Norfolk, Black Stork in Moray, Subalpine Warbler in East Yorkshire, Black Duck in Highland, and in West Yorkshire both Iberian Chiffchaff and Ferruginous Duck. Scarcities included Red-breasted Flycatcher and Purple Heron (Western Isles), Marsh Warbler, Common Rosefinch and Red-necked Phalarope (Northumberland), Woodchat Shrike (Suffolk), Serin (Kent), two each of American Wigeon and Ring-necked Duck, three Golden Orioles, and four each of Red-backed Shrike and Glossy Ibis. |

A Black Stork was found at Findhorn Bay in Moray and an Eastern Subalpine Warbler arrived on Fair Isle. Cornwall hosted a Greenish Warbler near Crantock. In Co.Kerry, a Snowy Owl was on Great Blasket Island for its second day. An Alpine Swift made a brief appearance over Flamborough Head in East Yorkshire. The Baikal Teal was still in Northumberland till lunchtime. Also continuing were the Lesser Grey Shrike in Norfolk, Black-headed Bunting in East Yorkshire, Gull-billed Tern in Co.Kerry, Squacco Heron in Hampshire, Great Reed Warbler in West Yorkshire, Subalpine Warbler in East Yorkshire, Red-footed Falcon in Co.Wexford, Ferruginous Duck in West Yorkshire, two Savi's Warblers in Suffolk), and Iberian Chiffchaffs in Suffolk, West Yorkshire and Lancashire. Today's scarcity contingent involved two Red-necked Phalaropes (Carmarthenshire and Northumberland), Montagu's Harrier (Suffolk), Serin (Kent), Rose-coloured Starling (Wrexham), Melodious Warbler (Scilly), two Marsh Warblers (Shetland), three Golden Orioles, two Woodchat Shrikes (Suffolk and Co.Wexford), Great Grey Shrike (Cambridgeshire), six Red-backed Shrikes, Red-spotted Bluethroat (Northumberland), two Purple Herons (Western Isles and Norfolk), two American Wigeon, Ring-necked Duck (Essex), two Balearic Shearwaters, two Glossy Ibises, Iceland Gull (Moray) and Roseate Tern (Carmarthenshire). |
