The highlight of the day was an Eastern White-crowned Sparrow present briefly in Argyll on Islay whilst in Clyde a Blue-winged Teal was new at Douglas Water.

Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Lesser Grey Shrike in Norfolk, Black Duck in Highland, two Great Reed Warblers in West Yorkshire, and in Suffolk two territorial Savi's Warblers and an Iberian Chiffchaff.

Scarcities included Golden Oriole (East Yorkshire), Rose-coloured Starling and Glossy Ibis (Dorset), Serin (Kent), Icterine Warbler (Shetland Isles), Red-necked Phalarope (Northumberland), three each of both Marsh Warbler and Ring-necked Duck, and four Red-backed Shrikes.
