| Highlight of the day was an adult Black-browed Albatross,
which flew past Lizard Point (Cornwall) late afternoon. Elsewhere a Bonaparte's Gull was discovered in Co Galway and Blyth's Reed Warbler (Greater Manchester), Long-billed Dowitcher (Lincolnshire), Ferruginous Duck (Essex), Lesser Yellowlegs (Dorset) and Spotted Sandpiper (Co Waterford) all lingered. The best of the rest included Hoopoe (Co Tyrone), Glossy Ibis (Co Wexford), Ring-necked Duck (Highland), Kumlien's Gull (Suffolk), Todd's Canada Goose (Argyll), Black Brant (Norfolk), Yellow-browed Warbler (Co Waterford), two Pallas's Warblers (Co Durham and Cornwall), two Great Grey Shrikes, three Green-winged Teals and 25 Shorelarks. |

Scarcity highlights included a Pallas's Warbler, five Yellow-browed Warblers, six Great Grey Shrikes, 38 Shorelarks, a Ring-billed Gull, six Glaucous Gulls, seven Iceland Gulls, a Temminck's Stint, a Black Brant, a Taiga Bean Goose, three Tundra Bean Geese, a Surf Scoter, two American Wigeon, three Green-winged Teal, three Ring-necked Ducks and a Glossy Ibis. |

| Rarities today included a Penduline Tit reported in Dorset at Lodmoor, the Blyth's Reed Warbler still in Greater Manchester,
Spotted Sandpiper in County Wexford, Long-billed Dowitcher in Lincolnshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset and
Ferruginous Ducks in both Essex and Hampshire. Scarcities included Rose-coloured Starling (Conwy), Temminck's Stint (Cornwall), Surf Scoter (Lothian), Snow Goose (County Wexford), two each of Pallas's Warbler, Richard's Pipit, Lapland Bunting and Glossy Ibis, three Rough-legged Buzzards, four Yellow-browed Warblers, five Ring-necked Ducks, 11 Great Grey Shrikes, and a total of 19 Shorelarks. |

| Rarities today comprised a Ferruginous Duck new in Essex at Holyfield Lake, the Long-billed Dowitcher still in Lincolnshire,
Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset and King Eider in Ceredigion. Scarcities included Richard's Pipit (Somerset), Rose-coloured Starling (Conwy), Ring-billed Gull (Lincolnshire), American Wigeon (Highland), Lesser Snow Goose (Aberdeenshire), Yellow-browed Warbler (Gloucestershire), Lapland Bunting (Cleveland), two Pallas's Warblers, three each of both Surf Scoter and Rough-legged Buzzard, four of Ring-necked Duck and Great Grey Shrike, and a total of 29 Shorelarks. |

White-billed Diver and Richardson's Cackling Goose on the Western Isles, and a Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (County Durham), Rose-coloured Starling (Conwy), American Wigeon (Worcestershire), Surf Scoter (Gwynedd), Temminck's Stint (Cornwall), two each of Yellow-browed Warbler and Glossy Ibis, three of Rough-legged Buzzard, Ring-necked Duck and Great Grey Shrike, four Ring-billed Gulls, and a total of 27 Shorelarks. |

in Lincolnshire, Bonaparte's Gull in London, Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Borders and Spotted
Sandpipers in both County Waterford and County Wexford. Scarcities included Rose-coloured Starling (Conwy), Temminck's Stint (Cornwall), two each of Pallas's Warbler, American Wigeon and Lesser Snow Goose, three of Surf Scoter and Ring-billed Gull, four Yellow-browed Warblers, five of Ring-necked Duck and Great Grey Shrike, six Rough-legged Buzzards, 17 Glossy Ibises and a total of 35 Shorelarks. |

| A White-billed Diver was found at Skelda Voe, Shetland, whilst lingering rarities included single Pacific Divers in Cornwall and County Cork, Forster's Tern in County Galway, Bonaparte's Gull in London, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, Spotted Sandpiper in County Waterford, White-billed Diver in Western Isles and Ferruginous Duck in Hampshire.
Scarcity highlights included a Pallas's Warbler, a Little Bunting, a Rose-coloured Starling, three Great Grey Shrikes, 21 Shorelarks, a Temminck's Stint, a Pomarine Skua, a Kumlien's Gull, three Ring-billed Gulls, a Todd's Canada Goose, a Snow Goose, a Black Brant, two Tundra Bean Geese, two Surf Scoters, two Green-winged Teal, three American Wigeon, six Ring-necked Ducks, four Rough-legged Buzzards and 21 Glossy Ibises. |

Dungarvan, Co Waterford, hosted a new Spotted Sandpiper. News emerged of a drake Lesser Scaup at Belfast Lough, Co.Antrim, present for its fourth day. Continuing rarities included Hume's Warbler in East Sussex, Black Scoter in Northumberland, Pied-billed Grebe in Shetland, Pacific Diver in Cornwall, Spotted Sandpiper in Co.Wexford, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall and Dorset, Long-billed Dowitcher in Lincolnshire, Lesser Scaup in Dumfries and Galloway and White-billed Divers in Shetland and Western Isles. The Black-throated Thrush near Swindon was reported to have still been present recently. Scarcities included a Pallas's Warbler, eight Yellow-browed Warblers, two Rose-coloured Starlings, five Great Grey Shrikes, 25 Shorelarks, a Common Rosefinch, 17 Glossy Ibises, six Rough-legged Buzzards, a Todd's Canada Goose, a Black Brant, two American Wigeon, two Green-winged Teal, 10 Ring-necked Ducks, two Kumlien's Gulls, 14 Glaucous Gulls and 10 Iceland Gulls. |
