| Rarities seen today included the Blyth's Reed Warbler in Greater Manchester, Eastern Yellow Wagtail in Scilly, American Herring Gull in County Cork, Pied-billed Grebe and White-billed Diver in Shetland, White-billed Diver in Western Isles, Lesser Scaup in Dumfries and Galloway and Spotted Sandpiper in County Wexford. The adult Ivory Gull picked up in Stranraer, Dumfries and Galloway last Wednesday remains in care.
Scarcities included a Lapland Bunting, two Rose-coloured Starlings, four Great Grey Shrikes, seven Yellow-browed Warblers, 23 Shorelarks, a Black-bellied Dipper, two Black Brants, two Taiga Bean Geese, two Tundra Bean Geese, three American Wigeon, three Surf Scoters, four Ring-necked Ducks, six Rough-legged Buzzards, two Kumlien's Gulls, seven Iceland Gulls, 15 Glaucous Gulls, a Balearic Shearwater and eight Glossy Ibises. |

Ongoing rarities included Eastern Yellow Wagtail on Scilly, Hume's Warbler in East Sussex, Pacific Diver in Cornwall, Spotted Sandpiper in Co.Wexford, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire and Dumfries and Galloway, King Eider in Ceredigion and three Coues's Arctic Redpolls (two in Norfolk and another in Lothian). Scarcities were represented by a Night Heron, a Lesser Snow Goose, a Black Brant, two Tundra Bean Geese, two American Wigeon, two Green-winged Teal, four Ring-necked Ducks, four Surf Scoters, seven Glossy Ibises, four Rough-legged Buzzards, 45 Shorelarks, a Rose-coloured Starling, six Great Grey Shrikes, five Yellow-browed Warblers, a Temminck's Stint, two Ring-billed Gulls, two Pomarine Skuas, three Kumlien's Gulls, 15 Iceland Gulls and 17 Glaucous Gulls. |

A Hume's Warbler found in a garden near Portesham, Dorset, was the day's sole new discovery. Ongoing rarities were represented by Eastern Yellow Wagtail on Scilly, Hume's Warbler in East Sussex, Pacific Diver in Cornwall, Black Scoter in Northumberland, Richardson's Cackling Goose in Western Isles, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire and Dumfries and Galloway, Bonaparte's Gull in London, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset and Cornwall, Long-billed Dowitcher in Lincolnshire and three Coues's Arctic Redpolls in Norfolk. Scarcities included a Pallas's Warbler, two Serins, a Lapland Bunting, three Rough-legged Buzzards, nine Yellow-browed Warblers, 21 Shorelarks, two Rose-coloured Starlings, five Great Grey Shrikes, a Todd's Canada Goose, five Tundra Bean Geese, three Surf Scoters, two American Wigeon, a Green-winged Teal, five Ring-necked Ducks, a Kumlien's Gull, 13 Iceland Gulls and 14 Glaucous Gulls. |

on Loch Ryan, Dumfries and Galloway for a fortnight. Scarcities included Rose-coloured Starling (Conwy), three American Wigeon, four Rough-legged Buzzard, six each of Yellow-browed Warbler and Ring-necked Duck, eight Great Grey Shrikes, 21 Glossy Ibises, and a total of 29 Shorelarks. |

in Lincolnshire, at least one Pacific Diver in Cornwall, Bonaparte's Gull
in London, Spotted Sandpiper in County Wexford, Long-billed Dowitcher in Lincolnshire,
Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire and Ferruginous Duck in Hampshire. Scarcities included Temminck's Stint (Cornwall), Great Grey Shrike (Glamorgan), two each of Rose-coloured Starling and Glossy Ibis, three of Lapland Bunting and American Wigeon, five Rough-legged Buzzards, six of Yellow-browed Warbler and Ring-necked Duck, and a total of 12 Shorelarks. Significant late news concerned a Blyth's Reed Warbler present yesterday in Greater Manchester at Hope Carr whilst in County Cork the American Herring Gull remained near Cahermore. |

Black Scoter in Northumberland, Lesser Yellowlegs in both Cornwall and Dorset,
Lesser Scaup in County Galway, Hampshire and Staffordshire, Coues's Arctic Redpolls in Borders and Lothian, and
Richardson's Cackling Goose on the Western Isles. Scarcities included Temminck's Stint and two Serins (Cornwall), two Rose-coloured Starlings, three each of both American Wigeon and Surf Scoter, four Great Grey Shrikes, five Rough-legged Buzzards, six Lapland Buntings, eight Ring-necked Ducks, 10 Yellow-browed Warblers, 24 Glossy Ibises and a total of 51 Shorelarks. |
