| Rarities seen today included the Blyth's Reed Warbler in Greater Manchester, Eastern Yellow Wagtail in Scilly, American Herring Gull in County Cork, Pied-billed Grebe and White-billed Diver in Shetland, White-billed Diver in Western Isles, Lesser Scaup in Dumfries and Galloway and Spotted Sandpiper in County Wexford. The adult Ivory Gull picked up in Stranraer, Dumfries and Galloway last Wednesday remains in care.
Scarcities included a Lapland Bunting, two Rose-coloured Starlings, four Great Grey Shrikes, seven Yellow-browed Warblers, 23 Shorelarks, a Black-bellied Dipper, two Black Brants, two Taiga Bean Geese, two Tundra Bean Geese, three American Wigeon, three Surf Scoters, four Ring-necked Ducks, six Rough-legged Buzzards, two Kumlien's Gulls, seven Iceland Gulls, 15 Glaucous Gulls, a Balearic Shearwater and eight Glossy Ibises. |

| Lingering rarities still present today included the Blyth's Reed Warbler in Greater Manchester, two Coues's Arctic Redpolls in Norfolk, Hume's Warbler in East Sussex, Pacific Diver in Cornwall, Black Scoter in Northumberland, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, Long-billed Dowitcher in Lincolnshire and Spotted Sandpiper in County Wexford.
Scarcity highlights included a Pallas's Warbler, a Lapland Bunting, two Rose-coloured Starlings, six Great Grey Shrikes, nine Yellow-browed Warblers, 20 Shorelarks, a Temminck's Stint, a Balearic Shearwater, three Surf Scoters, four American Wigeon, five Green-winged Teals, 14 Ring-necked Ducks, a Todd's Canada Goose, two Black Brants, six Tundra Bean Geese, 34 Taiga Bean Geese, five Rough-legged Buzzards, 16 Glossy Ibises, two Ring-billed Gulls, 11 Iceland Gulls and 13 Glaucous Gulls. |

Black Scoter in Northumberland, Bonaparte's Gull in London, Spotted Sandpiper in County Wexford,
Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall and Dorset, Lesser Scaup in both Dumfries and Galloway and Staffordshire,
Ferruginous Duck in Hampshire and Richardson's Cackling Goose on the Western Isles. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler and Temminck's Stint (Cornwall), Common Rosefinch (Shetland Isles), Richard's Pipit (Somerset), Lesser Snow Goose (Aberdeenshire), two each of Rose-coloured Starling and American Wigeon, three of Ring-necked Duck, Great Grey Shrike and Lapland Bunting, five Rough-legged Buzzards, seven of Yellow-browed Warbler and Glossy Ibis, and a total of 22 Shorelarks. |

| Rarities today comprised the Blyth's Reed Warbler still in Greater Manchester,
Hume's Warbler in East Sussex, Bonaparte's Gull in London, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall,
Black Scoter in Northumberland, Richardson's Cackling Goose on the Western Isles, a
White-billed Diver passing the Orkney Isles and a Lesser Scaup confirmed as present
on Loch Ryan, Dumfries and Galloway for a fortnight. Scarcities included Rose-coloured Starling (Conwy), three American Wigeon, four Rough-legged Buzzard, six each of Yellow-browed Warbler and Ring-necked Duck, eight Great Grey Shrikes, 21 Glossy Ibises, and a total of 29 Shorelarks. |

| Rarities today comprised a Penduline Tit new in Kent at Grove Ferry, Eastern Yellow Wagtail
still on the Isles of Scilly, Hume's Warbler still in East Sussex, Dusky Warbler
in Lincolnshire, at least one Pacific Diver in Cornwall, Bonaparte's Gull
in London, Spotted Sandpiper in County Wexford, Long-billed Dowitcher in Lincolnshire,
Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, Lesser Scaup in Staffordshire and Ferruginous Duck in Hampshire. Scarcities included Temminck's Stint (Cornwall), Great Grey Shrike (Glamorgan), two each of Rose-coloured Starling and Glossy Ibis, three of Lapland Bunting and American Wigeon, five Rough-legged Buzzards, six of Yellow-browed Warbler and Ring-necked Duck, and a total of 12 Shorelarks. Significant late news concerned a Blyth's Reed Warbler present yesterday in Greater Manchester at Hope Carr whilst in County Cork the American Herring Gull remained near Cahermore. |

| Rarities today comprised a Bonaparte's Gull new in London at Erith, Hume's Warbler still in East Sussex,
Dusky Warbler and Long-billed Dowitcher both still in Lincolnshire, Spotted Sandpiper in County Wexford,
Black Scoter in Northumberland, Lesser Yellowlegs in both Cornwall and Dorset,
Lesser Scaup in County Galway, Hampshire and Staffordshire, Coues's Arctic Redpolls in Borders and Lothian, and
Richardson's Cackling Goose on the Western Isles. Scarcities included Temminck's Stint and two Serins (Cornwall), two Rose-coloured Starlings, three each of both American Wigeon and Surf Scoter, four Great Grey Shrikes, five Rough-legged Buzzards, six Lapland Buntings, eight Ring-necked Ducks, 10 Yellow-browed Warblers, 24 Glossy Ibises and a total of 51 Shorelarks. |

Scarcity highlights included a Serin, a Great Grey Shrike, a Rose-coloured Starling, two Lapland Buntings, nine Yellow-browed Warblers, 61 Shorelarks, a Temminck's Stint, seven Rough-legged Buzzards, two American Wigeon, four Surf Scoters, seven Ring-necked Ducks, six Tundra Bean Geese, two Kumlien's Gulls, three Ring-billed Gulls, 12 Glaucous Gulls, 14 Iceland Gulls and 18 Glossy Ibises. |
