  Rarities today comprised a Pacifc Diver still in Cornwall, Hume's Warbler in East Sussex, Dusky Warbler and Long-billed Dowitcher in Lincolnshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, Lesser Scaup in both Somerset and Staffordshire.

Scarcities included Serin (Cornwall), Rose-coloured Starling (Conwy), Great Grey Shrike (Staffordshire), Temminck's Stint (Cornwall), two Surf Scoters, five each of Rough-legged Buzzard, American Wigeon and Ring-billed Gull, seven Yellow-browed Warblers, nine Ring-necked Ducks, 12 Shorelarks, and a total of 22 Glossy Ibises.

Monday 14th January 2019  
  Rarities today comprised the Desert Wheatear still on the Isles of Scilly, Hume's Warbler in East Sussex, Dusky Warbler in Lincolnshire, Coues's Arctic Redpolls in Lothian and Norfolk, Pacific Diver on County Cork, Spotted Sandpiper in County Wexford, Long-billed Dowitcher in Lincolnshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset and Lesser Scaup in both Somerset and Staffordshire. In Highland a White-billed Diver was a new discovery at Little Loch Broom.

Scarcities included Hoopoe (County Armagh), Common Rosefinch (Shetland Isles), Great Grey Shrike (Staffordshire), Temminck's Stint (Cornwall), two each of Serin, Rose-coloured Starling and American Wigeons, three Ring-billed Gulls, four Rough-legged Buzzards, eight Ring-necked Ducks, 10 Glossy Ibises, 14 Yellow-browed Warblers, and a total of 37 Shorelarks.

Saturday 12th January 2019  
  News of a Hume's Warbler at Newhaven, Sussex was released today, having been present since 27th December last year.

Other lingering rarities seen today included single Dusky Warblers in Dorset and Lincolnshire, Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Lothian, Spotted Sandpiper in County Wexford, single Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset and Cornwall and Ferruginous Duck in Hampshire.

Scarcity highlights included a Common Rosefinch, a Rose-coloured Starling, two Great Grey Shrikes, five Lapland Buntings, 11 Yellow-browed Warblers, 37 Shorelarks, a Temminck's Stint, a White Stork, 12 Glossy Ibises, seven Rough-legged Buzzards, a Lesser Snow Goose, three Black Brants, 14 Tundra Bean Geese, 24 Taiga Bean Geese, a Green-winged Teal, two Surf Scoters, three American Wigeon, seven Ring-necked Ducks, a Kumlien's Gull, two Ring-billed Gulls, 15 Iceland Gulls and 20 Glaucous Gulls.

  Rarities today were Pacific Divers in both Cornwall and County Cork, Dusky Warblers in Dorset, Lincolnshire and Warwickshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall and Dorset, White-billed Diver on the Western Isles, Lesser Scaup in Somerset and Ferruginous Duck in Hampshire.

Scarcities included Rough-legged Buzzard (Suffolk), Temminck's Stint (Cornwall), Lapland Bunting (Lincolnshire), two each of Rose-coloured Starling, Ring-billed Gull and Lesser Snow Goose, five of American Wigeon and Ring-necked Duck, eight Yellow-browed Warblers, 11 Glossy Ibis and 31 Shorelarks.

  A Bonaparte's Gull was found at Furbo, County Clare, and a White-billed Diver was off Housabister, Shetland.

Lingering rarities included single Pacific Divers in Cornwall and County Cork, single Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall and Dorset, Long-billed Dowitcher in Lincolnshire, single Dusky Warblers in Warwickshire and Lincolnshire, Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Yorkshire, Lesser Scaup in Somerset and Ferruginous Duck in Hampshire.

Scarcity highlights included a Serin, a Richard's Pipit, a Rose-coloured Starling, a Lapland Bunting, three Great Grey Shrikes, three Yellow-browed Warblers, 35 Shorelarks, a White-tailed Eagle, three Rough-legged Buzzards, 11 Glossy Ibises, a White Stork, a Temminck's Stint, a Green-winged Teal, two Surf Scoters, four Ring-necked Ducks, six American Wigeon, a Black Brant, two Lesser Snow Geese, two Todd's Canada Geese, 13 Tundra Bean Geese, 24 Taiga Bean Geese, two Ring-billed Gulls, eight Glaucous Gulls and 13 Iceland Gulls.
