| Lingering rarities still present today included the Little Bittern at Saltholme RSPB, Cleveland, Bufflehead at Ballinacarriga Lough, County Cork, Bonaparte's Gull at Bamburgh, Northumberland, King Eider at Ynyslas, Ceredigion and Lesser Scaup at Chew Valley Lake, Somerset.
Scarcity highlights included a Pallas's Warbler, a Rose-coloured Starling, 28 Shorelarks, 222 Waxwings, a Rough-legged Buzzard, a Temminck's Stint, a Grey Phalarope, an American Wigeon, two Green-winged Teals, a Todd's Canada Goose, two Tundra Bean Geese, three Taiga Bean Geese, a Ring-billed Gull, two Iceland Gulls, three Glaucous Gulls and 12 Little Auks. |
