  Another Iberian Chiffchaff was discovered today, at the Dump Clump on St Mary's, Isles of Scilly.

Lingering rarities included the Northern Harrier in Orkney, Pied-billed Grebe in Argyll, Iberian Chiffchaff in Kent, Black-winged Stilt in Hampshire, Long-billed Dowitcher in County Wexford, Hume's Warbler in Dorset, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, single White-billed Divers in Moray and Orkney and Ferruginous Duck in County Durham.

Scarcity highlights included two Woodchat Shrikes, two Yellow-browed Warblers, three Ring-billed Gulls, three Glossy Ibises, a Todd's Canada Goose, two Surf Scoters, five Green-winged Teals and five Ring-necked Ducks.

Saturday 1st April 2017  
  New rarities today included an Iberian Chiffchaff at Seaton GPs, Kent (present for its second day), an Alpine Swift over Bolt Head and Thurlestone, Devon, a Black-winged Stilt at Titchfield Haven NNR, Hampshire and a White-billed Diver off Port Nis, Western Isles.

Lingering rarities included the Northern Harrier and White-billed Diver in Orkney, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Black-winged Stilt in Essex, Long-billed Dowitcher in County Wexford, Hume's Warbler in Dorset, Lesser Scaup in Cornwall, King Eider in Highland and Ferruginous Duck in County Durham.

Scarcity highlights included a Woodchat Shrike, a Bluethroat, a Hoopoe, two Yellow-browed Warblers and two Richard's Pipits.

Friday 31st March 2017  
  New Red-rumped Swallows were found at Himley Hall in Staffordshire, Spurn in Yorkshire and at Porth Hellick in the Isles of Scilly, where two were present.

Lingering rarities included the Black-winged Stilt on the Isle of Wight, Hudsonian Whimbrel in Cornwall, Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, King Eider in Highland, single White-billed Divers in the Western Isles and Moray and Ferruginous Duck in County Durham.

Scarcity highlights included a Hoopoe, three Yellow-browed Warblers and a Pomarine Skua.

Tuesday 28th March 2017  
  The highlight of the day was the reappearance of the Pied-billed Grebe in Argyll at Loch Feorlin where it was previously been present on 30th May-6th June 2014 and again between 6th May-5th August 2016.

Elsewhere, a Richardson's Cackling Goose was found in County Mayo on The Mullet, whilst lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Killdeer on the Shetland Isles, Hudsonian Whimbrel in Cornwall, Red-flanked Bluetail in Norfolk, Hume's Warbler and Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, and single Bonaparte's Gulls in both Devon and County Kerry.

Scarcities included Bluethroat (Lincolnshire), Richard's Pipit (Dorset), Glossy Ibis (Leicestershire), Yellow-browed Warbler (Cornwall), two each of both American Wigeon and Surf Scoter, three Green-winged Teals, four of both Ring-billed Gull and Lapland Bunting, 13 Great Grey Shrikes, 15 Shorelarks, and a total of 47 Cattle Egrets.

Monday 27th March 2017  
  Rarities discovered today comprised a Dusky Warbler in Cornwall at Polgigga, single White-billed Divers in Moray at Burghead and in the Western Isles on Barra, and in Aberdeenshire the King Eider returned to the Ythan Estuary.

Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Killdeer on the Shetland Isles, both Red-flanked Bluetail and Pallid Harrier in Norfolk, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, King Eider in County Kerry, and single Bonaparte's Gulls in both Cornwall and Devon.

Scarcities included Bluethroat (Lincolnshire), Hoopoe (Pembrokeshire), Surf Scoter (Shetland Isles), Yellow-browed Warbler (Devon), Glossy Ibis (Leicestershire), Rough-legged Buzzard (Norfolk), two each of Richard's Pipit, American Wigeon, Lesser Snow Goose and Lapland Bunting, three Ring-billed Gulls, four Ring-necked Ducks, 13 Great Grey Shrikes, 21 Shorelarks, and a total of 29 Cattle Egrets.

Saturday 25th March 2017  
  New discoveries today included a singing Iberian Chiffchaff in Yate, Gloucestershire, a Red-flanked Bluetail at Titchwell RSPB, Norfolk and an Alpine Swift at Tacumshin, County Wexford.

Lingering rarities included the Hume's Warbler in Dorset, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, Forster's Tern in County Galway, Long-billed Dowitcher in County Wexford, Hudsonian Whimbrel in Cornwall and Pallid Harrier in Norfolk.
