  Rarities today comprised the Pacific Diver still in Northumberland, Blue Rock Thrush still in Gloucestershire, Snowy Owl, White-billed Diver and Lesser Scaup on the Orkney Isles, Hooded Merganser in Clyde, Hudsonian Whimbrel and Lesser Scaup in Cornwall, Pallid Harrier in East Yorkshire, Desert Wheatear and Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, Coues's Arctc Redpoll in Clyde, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, King Eider in County Kerry and two Richardson's Cackling Geese in Argyll.

Scarcities included Bluethroat (Lincolnshire), Little Bunting (Bedfordshire), Yellow-browed Warbler (Devon), Surf Scoter (Lothian), Rough-legged Buzzard (Norfolk), two each of Richard's Pipit, Snow Goose and Glossy Ibis, three each of American Wigeon and Ring-necked Duck, four Ring-billed Gulls, five Great Grey Shrikes, 22 Cattle Egrets, 40 Lapland Buntings and 48 Shorelarks.
