  The highlight of the day was the reappearance of the Killdeer on Shetland at Sandwick, whilst a Dusky Warbler was new in Norfolk at Holme, and an Azorean Yellow-legged Gull was identified at Wembury Point, Devon.

Lingering rarities comprised the Hudsonian Whimbrel and Dusky Warbler both still in Cornwall, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, and the Hooded Merganser returned to Lochwinnoch, Clyde.

Scarcities included Richard's Pipit (East Sussex), Surf Scoter (Lothian), Black-bellied Dipper (Suffolk), three Ring-necked Ducks, five American Wigeon, 10 Cattle Egrets, 11 Lapland Buntings and 42 Shorelarks.
