  The highlight of the day was the continued present of the Forster's Tern in Essex at Mistley, whilst the Pacific Diver remained in County Galway, Desert Wheatears in both Devon and Lancashire, Arctic Redpoll on the Orkney Isles, Dalmatian Pelican in Cornwall, Semipalmated Sandpiper and Long-billed Dowitcher together in County Wexford, Hooded Merganser in Ayrshire, and Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo.

Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (East Yorkshire), Richard's Pipit (Somerset), Black-bellied Dipper (Suffolk), American Golden Plover (County Kerry), Surf Scoter (Lothian), Ring-billed Gull (Hampshire), three Ring-necked Ducks, five American Wigeons, 20 Cattle Egrets and 29 Shorelarks.
