  Rarities today comprised the American White-winged Scoter still in Aberdeenshire, the territorial Little Bittern in Somerset, and the Bonaparte's Gull in Kent.

Scarcities included two Serins in Dorset, Sabine's Gull (Derbyshire), Red-necked Phalarope (Northumberland), Pectoral Sandpiper (Lincolnshire), Surf Scoter (Aberdeenshire), White Stork (Worcestershire), Glossy Ibis (Somerset), and three Cattle Egrets.

Seabirds included three Wilson's Petrels, a Great Shearwater and a Long-tailed Skua at sea off County Cork.
