| Lingering rarities seen today included the American White-winged Scoter
and King Eider in Aberdeenshire, Hudsonian Whimbrel and
Dalmatian Pelican in Cornwall, Little Bitterns in South Yorkshire and
Somerset and Bonaparte's Gulls in Kent and Northumberland.
Scarcity highlights included a Common Rosefinch, a White-winged Black Tern, a Cory's Shearwater, a Red-necked Phalarope, a Surf Scoter, a White Stork, three Glossy Ibises and four Pomarine Skuas. |
