| Lingering rarities comprised Great Knot and Caspian
Tern in Norfolk, American White-winged Scoter and
King Eider in Aberdeenshire, Little Bittern in
South Yorkshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland and
Dalmatian Pelican in Cornwall, whilst a Bee-eater was
heard over Strumpshaw Fen, Norfolk. The best of the rest included Serin (Suffolk), Glossy Ibis (Norfolk), Red-necked Phalarope (Northumberland) and American Wigeon (Aberdeenshire). |
