| Rarities today comprised both the American White-winged Scoter and the
King Eider still in Aberdeenshire, Great Knot and Caspian Tern remain in Norfolk,
Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland, and Iberian Chiffchaff on the Isles of Scilly, where the first
Wilson's Petrel of the summer was recorded from a pelagic. Scarcities included Red-backed Shrike (Kent), Red-necked Phalarope (Northumberland), and Cattle Egret (Dorset and County Wexford). |
