Tuesday 12th April 2016  
  The highlight of the day was the first Black-winged Stilt of the year in East Sussex at Weir Wood Reservoir. Elsewhere, rarities comprised a brief Subalpine Warbler species in Suffolk at Reydon, American Herring Gull still in Cornwall, Arctic Redpoll on the Shetland Isles, territorial Iberian Chiffchaffs in both Cornwall and Shropshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll, Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan, and single Long-billed Dowitchers in Hampshire,
Kent and Northumberland.

Spring scarities comprised Hoopoes in Berkshire, Cornwall, Dorset (2), Norfolk and Somerset, Woodchat Shrike in Cornwall, Serin in Dorset, Cattle Egret in Cambridgeshire, Montagu's Harrier in Hampshire, and a White Stork tracking from Pembrokeshire through Ceredigion, Powys and Gwynedd.
