  Rarities today comprised the Gyr still on the Western Isles, Penduline Tits in both Cleveland (2) and Norfolk, Long-billed Dowitchers in Leicestershire and Northumberland, Lesser Scaup in Cornwall and Northern Long-tailed Tit in Kent.

Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Dorset), Little Bunting (Surrey), Hoopoe (West Midlands), Yellow-browed Warbler (Cornwall), Surf Scoter (Isles of Scilly), American Wigeon (North Yorkshire), Cattle Egret (Kent), two each of Richard's Pipit, Ring-necked Duck, Rough-legged Buzzard and Ring-billed Gull, three of both Glossy Ibis and Great Grey Shrike, and seven Lapland Buntings (together in Norfolk).
