| Rarities today comprised the Gyr still on the Western Isles, Penduline Tits in
both Cleveland (2) and Norfolk, Long-billed Dowitchers in Leicestershire and Northumberland,
Lesser Scaup in Cornwall and Northern Long-tailed Tit in Kent. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Dorset), Little Bunting (Surrey), Hoopoe (West Midlands), Yellow-browed Warbler (Cornwall), Surf Scoter (Isles of Scilly), American Wigeon (North Yorkshire), Cattle Egret (Kent), two each of Richard's Pipit, Ring-necked Duck, Rough-legged Buzzard and Ring-billed Gull, three of both Glossy Ibis and Great Grey Shrike, and seven Lapland Buntings (together in Norfolk). |

Rarities today comprised the Glaucous-winged Gull still in County Cork, Pacific Diver in Cornwall, Gyr on the Western Isles, Penduline Tits in Cleveland (2) and Gloucestershire (2), Long-billed Dowitchers in Leicestershire and Northumberland, Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, King Eiders in County Sligo and County Wexford, and Lesser Scaups in both Cornwall and Glamorgan. Scarcities included Serin (Suffolk), Hoopoe (West Midlands), Rough-legged Buzzard (Norfolk), Ring-necked Duck (Ayrshire), two each of both Yellow-browed Warbler, Shorelark and American Wigeon, three Richard's Pipits, six Ring-billed Gulls, six Lapland Buntings and nine Surf Scoters (including five together in County Mayo). Arriving migrants in Britain included 32 Sand Martins, 27 Wheatears, nine White Wagtails, nine Little Ringed Plovers, five Garganey, four Ospreys and a Swallow. |

| Lingering rarities still present today included the Glaucous-winged Gull
in County Cork, Black Scoter in County Kerry, Forster's Tern in
County Galway, Gyr and White-billed Diver in the Western Isles,
two Penduline Tits in Gloucestershire and Cleveland, single
Long-billed Dowitchers in Leicestershire and Northumberland,
Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, King Eider in County Wexford, single
Lesser Scaups in County Sligo and Glamorgan and Richardson's Cackling
Goose also in County Sligo.
Scarcity highlights were a Pallas's Warbler, a Yellow-browed Warbler, a Hoopoe and two Richard's Pipits. |

| New discoveries today included a Bonaparte's Gull at Kildavin, County
Carlow, a Lesser Scaup at Lough Skean, County Sligo and a White-billed
Diver off Burghead, Moray.
Lingering rarities included the Pacific Diver and Lesser Scaup in Cornwall, Black Scoter in County Kerry, Forster's Tern in County Galway, Gyr in the Western Isles, two Penduline Tits in both Gloucestershire and Cleveland, single Long-billed Dowitchers in Leicestershire and Northumberland, Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan and White-billed Diver in Aberdeenshire. |

| The highlight of the day was reappearance of the Gyr on North Uist, Western Isles, whilst on
nearby Lewis a White-billed Diver was located. Rarities elsewhere comprised Penduline Tits in Cleveland (2), Essex and Gloucestershire (2),
Long-billed Dowitchers in Leicestershire and Northumberland, King Eider and
Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo, and Lesser Scaups in both Cornwall and Glamorgan. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Dorset), Yellow-browed Warbler (Cornwall), Rough-legged Buzzard (Highland), two each of Richard's Pipit, Surf Scoter, American Wigeon, Ring-necked Duck, Ring-billed Gull, Cattle Egret and Glossy Ibis, six Lapland Buntings and eight Great Grey Shrikes. Spring migrants included nine Sand Martins, five White Wagtails, two Wheatears and a Garganey. |

| Rarities today comprised the Hudsonian Whimbrel and Lesser Scaup both still in Cornwall, Long-billed Dowitcher in Leicestershire,
Penudline Tits in Cleveland (2), Essex and Gloucestershire (2), King Eider
in County Wexford, Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan and Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Dorset), Hoopoe (West Midlands), Yellow-browed Warbler (Cornwall), two each of both Rough-legged Buzzard and Cattle Egret, three of Richard's Pipit, Shorelark, Ring-billed Gull, Surf Scoter and American Wigeon, four Snow Geese (together in Aberdeenshire), five Glossy Ibises, 13 Great Grey Shrikes and 14 Lapland Buntings. Incoming summer migrants included 11 Wheatears, seven Sand Martins and two White Wagtails. |
