  Rarities today comprised the Hudsonian Whimbrel still in Cornwall, two Penduline Tits in Gloucestershire, Long-billed Dowitchers in both Leicestershire and Northumberland, White-billed Diver in Highland, and a Northern Long-tailed Tit in Kent.

Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Dorset), Hoopoe (West Midlands), Ring-necked Duck (Somerset), Suf Scoter and American Wigeon (both North Yorkshire), two each of Rough-legged Buzzard and Cattle Egret, three of both Shorelark and Great Grey Shrike, and five of Ring-billed Gull, Lapland Bunting and Glossy Ibis.
