  New rarities today comprised a Hooded Merganser in Wiltshire at Corsham Lake, and a White-billed Diver in Argyll off Coll.

Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Glaucous-winged Gull, Black Duck and Spotted Sandpiper in County Cork, Hudsonian Whimbrel in Cornwall, Penduline Tits in Gloucestershire (2) and Hampshire, Long-billed Dowitcher in Hampshire, Leicestershire and Northumberland, King Eider in County Sligo, Bonaparte's Gull in Highland, and Lesser Scaups in County Antrim and Glamorgan.

Scarcities included Hoopoe (West Midlands), Surf Scoter (North Yorkshire), Rough-legged Buzzard (Cambridgeshire), two Yellow-browed Warblers (Cornwall), three each of both Richard's Pipit and American Wigeon, five Ring-necked Ducks, six Ring-billed Gulls and eight Lapland Buntings (Norfolk).
