| Lingering rarities seen today included the Hudsonian Whimbrel and
Lesser Scaup in Cornwall, Northern Harrier in Orkney, single
Long-billed Dowitchers in Leicestershire, Hampshire and Northumberland,
Spotted Sandpiper in County Cork, Gyr in the Western Isles, two
Penduline Tits in Gloucestershire, Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, King
Eider in Fife, other Lesser Scaups in Glamorgan and County Antrim,
and single Ferruginous Ducks in Hampshire, Buckinghamshire, Norfolk and
County Durham.
Scarcity totals included a Hoopoe, a Rose-coloured Starling, three Yellow-browed Warblers and three Richard's Pipits. |
