  New discoveries today included a White-billed Diver in Bluemull Sound, Shetland and a Pallid Swift near Wolla Bank, Lincolnshire.

Lingering rarities included the Hudsonian Whimbrel and American Herring Gull in Cornwall, Arctic Warbler and Ferruginous Duck in County Durham, Semipalmated Sandpiper in Gloucestershire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Norfolk and Pallid Harrier in Lincolnshire.

Scarcity highlights were singles of Red-breasted Flycatcher, Serin, Waxwing, Richard's Pipit, Ring-necked Duck and Surf Scoter, two each of Great Grey Shrike, Yellow-browed Warbler, Rough-legged Buzzard, Glossy Ibis, Lapland Bunting and Bean Goose and three each of Pomarine Skua and Little Auk.
