  The highlight of the day was the arrival on three separate Pallid Swifts on the northeast coast of England: in East Yorkshire at Flamborough Head, County Durham at Whitburn, and Northumberland at Newbiggin. Otherwise, new rarities comprised a Hume's Yellow-browed Warbler in Dorset at Durlston Head, and in Cornwall a Blyth's Pipit flew over Nanjizal.

Lingering rarities confirmed as still present comprised the Hudsonian Whimbrel in Cornwall, Greater Yellowlegs on the Isle of Wight, Red-flanked Bluetail and Dusky Warbler in Kent, Dusky Warbler in County Cork and the Isles of Scilly, Northern Harrier on the Orkney Isles, Gull-billed Tern in County Kerry, Long-billed Dowitcher in Hampshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Norfolk, Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, White-rumped Sandpiper in Aberdeenshire, Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan, Ferruginous Duck in County Durham, and Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll.

Scarcities included seven Glossy Ibises, six of both Pallas's Warbler and Rough-legged Buzzard, five Richard's Pipits, four of Barred Warbler and Cattle Egret, three of American Golden Plover and American Wigeon, two each of Marsh Warbler, Serin, Little Bunting and Red-breasted Flycatcher, and single Rose-coloured Starling (Cornwall), Red-backed Shrike (Cleveland), Surf Scoter (Lothian) and Pectoral Sandpiper (Orkney Isles).
