Bee-eaters in Suffolk (10) and Hampshire (2) were today's headline new discoveries. The Little Bittern (South Yorkshire), White-rumped Sandpiper (East Yorkshire), Greater Yellowlegs (Hampshire) and Hudsonian Whimbrel (West Sussex) all lingered. The best of the rest included White-winged Black Terns in Lancashire and Lincolnshire, Night Heron in Somerset, Montagu's Harrier in Hertfordshire, Melodious Warbler in West Midlands, American Wigeon in South Yorkshire and Hoopoe in Suffolk.
