  New discoveries today included a Snowy Owl at Blacksod, County Mayo, a Black Kite at Sumburgh, Shetland, two Black-winged Stilts at Trimley, Suffolk and a Red-rumped Swallow at Cliffe, Kent.

Lingering rarities included the Great Blue Heron in the Isles of Scilly, both Harlequin Ducks in Aberdeenshire and Highland, Pied-billed Grebe in Lancashire, Blue-winged Teal in Lincolnshire, King Eider in Aberdeenshire, Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan, White-rumped Sandpiper and White-billed Diver in Orkney, Laughing Gull in County Cork and Red-rumped Swallow in the Isles of Scilly.
