Tuesday 27th January 2015
In the Isles of Scilly, a Black Duck was discovered on the Great Pool on Tresco. This is presumably the individual seen briefly on Samson on the 19th. Nearby in Cornwall, a King Eider was south of Maenporth, near Falmouth.

Lingering rarities present today included the Harlequin Duck in Aberdeenshire, American Coot and Black Scoter in County Kerry, another Black Scoter in Northumberland, Pacific Diver and Lesser Scaup in Cornwall (with further Lesser Scaups in Glamorgan and Ayrshire), three Penduline Tits and a Bonaparte's Gull in Devon and Ferruginous Duck in Gloucestershire.

Significant news from Norfolk concerned a Little Bustard on Thursday, which was found dead at the side of a road at Blofield near Norwich.
