Sunday 28th December 2014  
  The fourth Penduline Tit for Bedfordshire was discovered this afternoon at Priory Country Park.

In West Yorkshire, the Blyth's Pipit and Thayer's Gull ended the day just 2/3 mile apart, with the former remaining in its favoured grass at Calder Park, and the latter roosting at nearby Pugneys Country Park. The gull had also been seen a few times during the day at Ravensthorpe, seven miles to the west.

Other lingering rarities present today included the Pacific Diver in Cornwall, Ivory Gull in Highland, Laughing Gull in County Cork, single Lesser Yellowlegs' in Sussex and County Dublin, Spotted Sandpiper in Aberdeenshire, King Eider in Moray, single Lesser Scaups in Glamorgan and Powys and Eastern Black Redstart in the Isles of Scilly.

Saturday 27th December 2014  
  The highlight of the day was the identification of a juvenile Thayer's Gull, which was photographed at Mirfield, West Yorkshire today.

Lingering rarities included the Blyth's Pipit in West Yorkshire, American Coot in the Western Isles, Forster's Tern in County Galway, three Penduline Tits and a Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, Spotted Sandpiper in Aberdeenshire, single Lesser Yellowlegs' in County Dublin and East Sussex, King Eider in Fife, Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan and Eastern Black Redstart in the Isles of Scilly.

Friday 26th December 2014  
  The highlight of the day was the discovery of a White-rumped Sandpiper in County Antrim at Jordanstown. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Blyth's Pipit still in West Yorkshire, Eastern Black Redstart on the Isles of Scilly, Lesser Yellowlegs in East Sussex, and single Lesser Scaups in both Ayrshire and Powys.

Scarcities included Barred Warbler (Dorset), American Wigeon (Cornwall), two each of Cattle Egret, Surf Scoter and Ring-billed Gull, three each of both Richard's Pipit and Ring-necked Duck, four of Rough-legged Buzzard, Shorelark and Lapland Bunting, seven of Iceland Gull and Glaucous Gull, and nine each of Great Grey Shrike and Tundra Bean Goose.

Thursday 25th December 2014  
  The highlight of the day was a Lesser Yellowlegs reported at Pett Level, East Sussex. Rarities elsewere comprised the Blyth's Pipit still in West Yorkshire, and the Eastern Black Redstart still on the Isles of Scilly.

Scarcities included Barred Warbler in Dorset, Yellow-browed Warblers in Devon and Dorset, Richard's Pipit in East Sussex, Surf Scoter in Suffolk, American Wigeon in Cornwall, Ring-necked Duck in Northamptonshire, and thee scattered Rough-legged Buzzards.

Wednesday 24th December 2014  
  Rarities today comprised the Blyth's Pipit still in West Yorkshire, Eastern Black Redstart on the Isles of Scilly, two Penduline Tits together in Devon, Richardson's Cackling Goose on the Western Isles, Spotted Sandpiper in Aberdeenshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Dublin and Lesser Scaup in Lothian.

Scarcities included three Richard's Pipits, Barred Warbler (Dorset), Rose-coloured Starling (Somerset), eight Ring-billed Gulls, and a Ring-necked Duck in Berkshire.

Sunday 21st December 2014  
  Belated news came of a probable Snowy Owl reported at St. Buryan in west Cornwall yesterday. It was seen in flight over fields south of the village briefly.

The rest of the rarity news was all of long staying birds. Top attraction was still the Blyth's Pipit in West Yorkshire, which showed well once or twice today. Elsewhere the Bonaparte's Gull was still at Dawlish Warren in Devon, and wildfowl consisted of the Ferruginous Duck at Blashford in Hampshire, Lesser Scaups in Ayrshire and Lothian and the Richardson's Cackling Goose on the Outer Hebrides. On Scilly the Eastern Black Redstart remained on St.Mary's.

The Barred Warbler remained at Portland in Dorset, a total of seven  Pomarine Skuas flew past Kent, Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, Fife and Angus, Shorelarks were in Suffolk, Lincolnshire and Lancashire and Great Grey Shrikes were in Northumberland, Norfolk, Lancashire, Derbyshire and Hampshire. There were also nine Rough-legged Buzzards, seven Great White and three Cattle Egrets and four American Wigeons.

  A first-winter American Herring Gull was discovered today at Killybegs, County Donegal.

Lingering rarities included the Blyth's Pipit in West Yorkshire, American Coot in the Western Isles, Forster's Tern in County Galway, Pacific Diver in Cornwall, two Penduline Tits and a Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Dublin, single Lesser Scaups in Lothian, Ayrshire and Glamorgan, Ferruginous Duck in Hampshire and Eastern Black Redstart in the Isles of Scilly.

  Lingering rarities seen today included the Blyth's Pipit at Wakefield, West Yorkshire, three Penduline Tits at Topsham, Devon, Lesser Scaup at Linlithgow Loch, Lothian, Ferruginous Duck at Blashford Lakes, Hampshire, Richardson's Cackling Goose on Islay, Argyll and Eastern Black Redstart at Shark's Pit, Isles of Scilly.

Scarcity highlights included a Wryneck, a Barred Warbler, a Yellow-browed Warbler, a Grey Phalarope, a Green-winged Teal, two Richard's Pipits, three American Wigeons, three Ring-billed Gulls, five Shorelarks, six Surf Scoters, eight Great Grey Shrikes and eight Rough-legged Buzzards.
