  Lingering rarities seen today included the Blyth's Pipit at Wakefield, West Yorkshire, three Penduline Tits at Topsham, Devon, Lesser Scaup at Linlithgow Loch, Lothian, Ferruginous Duck at Blashford Lakes, Hampshire, Richardson's Cackling Goose on Islay, Argyll and Eastern Black Redstart at Shark's Pit, Isles of Scilly.

Scarcity highlights included a Wryneck, a Barred Warbler, a Yellow-browed Warbler, a Grey Phalarope, a Green-winged Teal, two Richard's Pipits, three American Wigeons, three Ring-billed Gulls, five Shorelarks, six Surf Scoters, eight Great Grey Shrikes and eight Rough-legged Buzzards.
