| The highlight of the day was the relocation of the adult Stilt Sandpiper
in Northumberland, where it was found at Druridge Pools NR. New discoveries
included a Fea's Petrel past Malin Head, County Donegal, a Bee-eater
at Sea Palling, Norfolk and a Black Kite near Colchester, Essex.
Lingering rarities included the Black-winged Pratincole on the Ouse Washes, Cambridgeshire, single White-rumped Sandpipers at Frampton Marsh RSPB, Lincolnshire and Hickling Broad NWT, Norfolk, Pacific Golden Plover on North Ronaldsay, Orkney, five Black-winged Stilts in Sussex (relocating to Pulborough Brooks RSPB) and a single in Suffolk at Great Livermere, three adult Bee-eaters at Niton, Isle of Wight and the Bonaparte's Gull at Oare Marshes KWT, Kent. |
