| The highlight of the day was the reappearance of the Black-winged Pratincole in Norfolk, now at Stiffkey
Fen, although elsewhere in the county the Great Knot could not be found at Breydon Water. On Fair Isle the Swinhoe's Petrel was retrapped again overnight, whilst in Suffolk the Collared Pratincole remained, and in Lincolnshire the Lesser Yellowlegs continued. Scarcities included Woodchat Shrike and Red-backed Shrike (both Norfolk), Night Heron (Kent), Long-tailed Skua (County Cork and Norfolk (2)), Ring-necked Duck (two together in County Londonderry), and Glossy Ibis (Cumbria, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire). |
