Tuesday 1st July 2014  
  The highlight of the day was confirmation that the territorial Iberian Chiffchaff is still present on Rousay, Orkney Isles, where it was first heard on 7th June.

Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Short-toed Eagle in Hampshire, Bridled Tern in Northumberland, Ross's Gull in Devon, Laughing Gull in County Cork, Red-footed Falcon in Cornwall and Lesser Scaup in Somerset.

Scarcities included Rose-coloured Starling (Lancashire and Suffolk), American Golden Plover (County Mayo), Spotted Crake (Cheshire), Pectoral Sandpiper (Shetland Isles), Cattle Egret (Northumberland), and eight Glossy Ibises.
