Tuesday 10th June 2014
The highlight of the day was the relocation - once again - of the Short-toed Eagle in southern England, today at Ashdown Forest, East Sussex during the morning. Elsewhere, a Black Stork flew over Scalby, North Yorkshie, a Bee-eater flew over Portland, Dorset, and in Lothian seven Two-barred Crossbills accompanied the Greenish Warbler at Tyninghame Bay.

Other lingering rarities confirmed as still present comprised the Spectacled Warbler in Norfolk, Squacco Heron in Cambridgeshire, Ross's Gull and Bonaparte's Gull together in Devon, King Eider in Aberdeenshire, Lesser Scaup in Cheshire, Savi's Warbler in Suffolk, and a pair of Black-winged Stilts in West Sussex.

Scarcities inclided Golden Oriole (Cheshire), Common Rosefinch (East Yorkshire), Red-backed Shrike (Shetland Isles), Ring-necked Duck (Angus), two American Wigeons, and three Glossy Ibises.
